Colette O'Leary: Piano Accordion
From the highly musical area of Sliabh Luachra Co. Kerry in Ireland, Colette took her first piano accordion lesson at the age of five. By the age of 18 she had won two All-Ireland titles.
  In 1992, she teamed up with Laoise Kelly (Harp) and Mary Shannon (Mandolin/Banjo) to form "The Bumblebees" to critical acclaim. Their debut album was voted one of the top ten albums of the year by Hot Press and they performed worldwide including at; Celtic Colours Canada, Tondor Festival Denmark, Milwaukee Festival USA and Celtic Connections Glasgow. "Bumblebees combine outstanding musical prowess with a collective spirit and joie de vivre that is truly captivating " (Celtic Connections).

  Their second album "Buzzin'" (1999) was voted one of the top 20 albums in the US and lead to heavy touring schedules worldwide.
  In 2001 Colette moved to London and has since toured with singer-songwriter Mark Nevin (Fairground Attraction) and blues singer Mary
Coughlan. Her solo album "The Attic Room" appeared in 2004.
  Colette is a highly respected piano accordionist as she combines breath-taking virtuosity with a genuine love and feeling for the music she plays. She waves an intriguing tapestry of music from Ireland, Italy, France, Eastern Europe, Argentina and Louisiana with zest, vitality and cosmopolitan taste.
