"Warm words"
"Dear Mick, Just to convey a big thank you from the Europe Directorate for the Ceilidh last night (20th December 2005 Tuesday Foreign and Commonwealth Office, King Charles Street, London, SW1). I've received warm words from the top brass and from every one of my colleagues. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The music and dances were pitched at just the right level, even if "strip the willow" was a bit beyond us by the end of the night! I think this could be a new tradition in the FCO! I have attached an electronic copy of the poster too. I may see you at Burns Night in the New Year at the Treasury. Best wishes" Katy Reid, Foreign & Commonwealth Office 21st Dec 2005
"Everyone's talking about it!"
"Hi guys, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for making Friday night such a success (16th December 2005 Friday Lloyds of London, One Lime Street, London EC3). Everyone had a great time and there's a buzz round the office this morning 'cos everyone's talking about it! Regards" Andy Smith,Tesco Finance Social Committee 19th Sep 2006

"Hi Mick & Wraggle Taggle, just a brief note to say thank-you for Saturday evening (3rd December 2005 St William of Perth RC School, Cannon Close, Rochester, Kent). Everyone had a really good time and can't wait until the next one! Will contact you in the new year with some dates if that's ok?. Hope you all have an enjoyable, but I'm sure busy, Christmas. Kind Regards" Sara Daly 6th Dec 2005

"Mick Just a note to you and all the other members of Wraggle Taggle to say thank you for playing a big part in making my party a success (12th November 2005 Saturday Bovingdon Green Village Hall Frieth Road, Bovingdon Green, Marlow, Buckinghamshire). Everyone enjoyed your music and learning the dances. Great fun! I would be delighted to recommend you for future bookings. Thank you" Sue Robertson 13th Nov 2005
"Another Booking"
"Dear Mick and the band, Time has flown by since our wedding in Tewin Bury Farm (Tewin, Hertfordshire) on Sun 24th July this year! We have been meaning to write to you for ages, so I apologize for this embarrassing delay. Your band were absolutely fantastic on our special day and people still comment on how the ceilidh finished off a perfect day. You may remember, there was a special twist of the Scottish and French of which they particularly appreciated Nick's translation. It really was very emotional for Olly and I to see all of our guests having such a great evening. Thanks to Wraggle Taggle. Thank you so much from us both. PS - Are you and the band available for another booking in Knebworth Village Hall on Sat 11th Feb 2006 for a ceilidh to celebrate a Burns Supper/NSPCC charity evening? Please provide fees for a 3 x 45min slot. Look forward to hearing from you" Sharon & Olivier Isbecque 8th Nov 2005
"Recommending you"
"Wraggle Taggle feedback Hello Mick We are emailing you, rather belatedly (sorry), to thank you very much for playing at our wedding at Tutbury Castle (Tutbury, Staffordshire) on Friday August 19th. We had fantastic evening, and you guys did a great job of encouraging so many of our guests - from three year olds to eight-three year olds - to get onto the dance floor. We will be recommending you to others! Thanks againquot; Clare and Austen Rayner 6th Nov 2005

"Dear Mick, only just got back from Ireland , but wanted to write to thank you so very much for playing at our wedding (7th October 2005 Friday Best Western Shrubbery Hotel, Station Road, Ilminster, Somerset). I can say, and really mean it, that you really finished of a very special day. Everybody thought that you were fantastic and you just made our night. Thank you it was really great. Hope we get a chance to hear you again one day. Kind regards" Kellie and Peter Crouch 20th Oct 2005
"You did us proud"
"Mick, Can I thank Wraggle Taggle for a wonderful night's entertainment last Saturday for my daughter's wedding (8th October 2005 Ashton Court, Abbots Leigh Road, Bristol ). Once again you did us proud. I was surprised to find that many of the young people had never been to a Ceilidh before - but they all seemed to take to it with great enthusiasm and several couples left saying that they wanted a Ceilidh for their wedding - so hopefully you may get some follow-up business. Fortunately for me, but not you, I don't have any more daughter's weddings to arrange or pay for! I trust you enjoyed playing on Saturday - you certainly seemed to respond to the enthusiasm of the guests. Please pass on my thanks to the rest of the group. I look forward to our next meeting. Best wishes" Julian Oliver 12th Oct 2005
"Positive Comments"
"Just a quick note to say thanks to you and your band for a most enjoyable performance on Friday last (30th September 2005 Friday Solent Hotel & Spa, Rookery Avenue, Whiteley, Fareham, Hampshire). We had so many positive comments and it was a thoroughly great evening Trust your food was to your liking as well Kind regards" Philip Palethorpe 7th Oct 2005
"Perfect"
"We are writing to thank you for playing at Helen and David's wedding last week at Northcote House (4th September 2005 Sunday Sunningdale Park, Larch Avenue, Ascot, Berkshire). When Helen mooted the idea of a ceilidh we all thought it was a great idea. It was the perfect way to get the guests to interact and to have a good time. Many of the guests remarked that it was the best wedding they had been to and your music contributed greatly to that. The whole day seemed perfect to us and we are very grateful to you for your part in bringing that about. Many thanks." Steven & Valerie Collyer 11th Sept 2005
"Impressed and Pleased"
"Dear Mick, I know that my parents, as hosts of the wedding, are writing to thank you formally but I just wanted to say thank you to you and your band for throwing a fantastic ceilidh at our wedding (4th September 2005 Sunday Northcote House, Sunningdale Park, Larch Avenue, Ascot, Berkshire). There was something for everyone with us beginners proving that we have two left feet and a couple of more challenging reels for the seasoned ceilidhers. I think everyone got up and had a dance and we were all embarrassed by the fitness levels of my grandparents who didn't miss a dance. As we had hoped, you really got everyone up and dancing. We had the perfect day and Wraggle Taggle really added to it. It was obvious that our guests enjoyed the ceilidh very much and we hope that we have the opportunity to throw a party again so that we can get you along to that one too. Thanks once again. We had a perfect day and I am thrilled that your band were part of making the day perfect. If ever you need any testimonials or anything, please let me know. I can't convey how impressed and pleased we were." Helen Rutherford 13th Sept 2005
"A night to remember"
"Hello Mick I write to congratulate and thank Wraggle Taggle for helping to make my daughters wedding a night to remember (10th September 2005 Saturday Marks Hall Estate, Coggeshall, Essex). Many of the guests had little or no idea what a ceilidh band was or what it did, or just how much fun lay ahead. Being traditional, many of the tunes were instantly recognised, whilst the skill of the caller made the dance routines easy to grasp. The balance between dances, instrumentals and rest periods was just right and so too was the noise level and clarity of the sound. I know from their comments that the evening was enjoyed by every one of the guests - be they in their teens or their 80's. Excellent. Thank you." Paul Stirland, Father of the Bride 12 Sept 2005
"True party mood!"
"Dear Mick O'Connor and Mick Bailey, Thank you for playing at our engagement luncheon - hope you made it to St Albans on time (3rd September 2005 (duo) Saturday (12.30 - 3.45pm) Henry West Building, Hopwood Hall College, Rochdale Road, Middleton, Manchester). We have plenty of photos to remember it by - including of you! Everyone commented on the foot tapping music that created a true party mood! We have some lovely photos of Mike's Aunt Sue dancing with her grandchildren - we will treasure them and Thank you. Best Wishes" Bridie Fanning and Michael West 10th Sept 2005
"You can all really play"
"Dear All, We're just writing to say thanks for your fantastic playing at our wedding. (30th June 2005* Thursday Priston Mill, Somerset) We both enjoyed ourselves immensely and know (both from comments and watching the video) that our guests did too. You can all really play and were very good at encouraging our guests to dance. We hope everything went well for you and continues to do so. Regards" James and Chrissie Slater 8th Sep 2005
"Pleasure to deal with"
"Dear Mick, I apologize for our very belated email, but we wanted to say a very big thank you for playing at our wedding in Marlow on 4th June (2006, The Compleat Angler,). We had a fantastic time and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh. (We have some fantastic photos of people dancing the night away!) The floor seemed to be full of people as soon as you started playing and remained that way all night, and the caller did a fantastic job as most of us started out as complete amateurs! Thank you very much for the part you played, and also for being so organized during the lead up to the wedding. You were a pleasure to deal with, which helps immensely when organizing such an occasion! We would not hesitate to recommend Wraggle Taggle to friends and family. Thank you again, Kind Regards" Edward & Liz Bodiam 31st Aug 2005
"The Best"
"To Mick & crew, Thank you for providing the best Irish music we could have wished for, at my daughter's baptism, on Sunday 14th August, at the Nyton Hotel, Ely. You were that good, you made a perfect day even more perfect with your quality sounds & professionalism. I look forward to recommending you to all! Thank you from" Olivia Boardman 31st Aug 2005
"So Professional"
"Dear Wraggle Taggle, Please may I take this opportunity to express my thanks and gratitude for everything you did and provided that made Stephen's secret surprise birthday barn dance in Titchmarsh such a success on Sunday 10th July 2005. Your band and caller were so professional and the music you played was so right for that afternoon. Judging from the amount of cards we have received here at Hillsborough House, the event was a huge success in every aspect and I would like to convey my appreciation to you and your company for everything you did to make that day go so smoothly. It is great to work with companies for whom professionalism and time-keeping is essential, especially when one tends to experience numerous problems with orders and delivery times. I am so pleased to say that your company was exemplary. Many people have asked who was responsible for certain items at the event and I have passed on your band information on to them accordingly. Once again many thanks for helping to make Stephen's secret surprise Birthday such a huge success and I look forward to being able to use your company for further events at Christmas and Summer 2006. Very best wishes." Julian Stoneman and Stella Warshaw Treagus Stoneman Associates Limited 19 Aug 2005
"How Great you were"
"Hello Mick Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you! Photos - no problem. As soon as we have them back I will mail you a couple. I would just like to say Thank you so so much. Everyone commented on how great you were (8th July 2005 (trio) Friday Eastwood Park Falfield, Wooton Under Edge, Gloucestershire) and I am so glad I managed to keep it as a surprise, it really paid off, Dalton was made up! Regards" Karen Jones 10th Aug 2005
"Excellent Performance"
"Thanks so much for your excellent performance at my 40th in Molesey (20th May 2005 Friday Molesey Boat Club, Barge Walk, East Molesey, Surrey). Sorry I have not been in touch before. We have some good pix of you all playing, but they are on hard copy. I will try and scan them in for you and send them in the next couple of weeks. Thanks again - everyone really enjoyed themselves and mentioned to me how good they thought you were. Will send photos soon" Nicky Moss 5th Aug 2005
"All the guests loved it"
"Mick, just dropping you a line to say thank you to you and the band for making my parents surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary go with a swing! (Saturday 9th July 2005 Hand and Flower Hotel, 1 Hammersmith Road, London) It was really lovely, all the guests loved it and were dancing from song one. My parents have a CD now of the music to remember their night. I'm sorry I was late getting in but because it was a surprise do I was getting pulled here there and everywhere! Hope it didn't cause a problem. Many thanks again for making it a great night! When anyone asks me to recommend a band I'll have no hesitation. All the best now." Angela McGuinness 11th July 2005

"So many people dancing"
"Hi Mick What an excellent day (Saturday 25th June 2005 Bramfield Village Hall, Bury Lane, Bramfield, Hertfordshire)- and many thanks to you and your band! We were so pleased with it all - great food, great music and great people! It was fantastic that so many people were dancing - from aged 2.5 to nearly 80! I do hope you all enjoyed it too and had your fill of food and drink. I've had several people ask for your details but I told them they'd better contact you very soon as I know you get booked up very quickly. Many thanks again Best regards ps if you would like me to write any 'testimonial' for you just ask!", Tess Gatens 27th June 2005
"Beautiful"
"Dear Mick O'Connor & Mick Bailey, Thank you for playing the Mandolin and Acoustic Guitar at my father's funeral in St Joseph's (29th April 2005 Kingston Road, New Malden, Surrey). Your rendition of The Fields of Athenry, Carrickfergus, Danny Boy and Lord of the Dance was beautiful. You were both prepared to travel in from central London at short notice and I wanted you to know how much I appreciated it. Everyone commented on how appropriate the music was for my father. You assisted in making the day a celebration of my father's life rather than a sorrowful occasion. Best Wishes and thanks again", Bridie Fanning 20th June 2005
"A Massive Thank you"
"Hi Mick, We are back from our honeymoon now and just wanted to say a massive Thank you to you and all of Wraggle Taggle for playing at out wedding. (22nd April 2005 Parklands, Quendon Hall, Quendon, Saffron Walden, Essex) You played fantastic and I can only apologise that it was short. We were running extremely late as the speeches seemed to go on forever. Mum especially enjoyed hearing you and catching up with Mick O'Connor. Thanks Again", Siobhan Robertson 7th May 2005
"Compliments kept coming"
"Dear Mick, Please could you pass on our thanks to the rest of the band for a wonderful wedding ceilidh! (St Barnabas Parish Hall, Dulwich Village, London, SE21 16th April 2005) We were so pleased that everyone loved the music as much as we did - and even our grandmothers (who aren't usually very mobile!) got up and danced! My Nanna was determined to dance to Auld Lang Syne because it was what the dances of her youth used to finish with and she said she felt fifty years younger. Thank you so much for playing us Strip the Willow (which I managed to dance with my husband to) and loved! The compliments for the band just kept coming all night - several friends said how much they loved the music, we appreciated the light-hearted calling and we think these pictures show how much everyone of every age enjoyed the dancing - it felt like a village party (which was just what we wanted). Thank you all very much. With very best wishes", Cathy and Craig Myers 30th April 2005
"Wonderful Conclusion"
"Just a note with our grateful thanks to you and your band for doing a fantastic job at our wedding at Lympne Castle (Lympne near Hythe, Kent 3rd April 2005). The ceilidh was enjoyed by all and was a wonderful conclusion to what turned out to be a dream of a day for us both - so thanks for playing your part in making it the special occasion it was. My uncle sends his regards by the way and thoroughly enjoyed playing the bagpipes alongside the band! We won't hesitate to recommend your services that's for sure! Very many thanks once again and continued success to you and the band. Best Wishes". Ian and Catriona Rendall 25th April 2005
"Looking Forward"
"A quick mail to say 'thank you' for arranging for us to drop in on the wedding reception at the Wicked Lady on Saturday (9th April 2005, Wheathampstead, Herts). We enjoyed our chance to hear Wraggle Taggle and are looking forward to the full session in September. If you are in contact, please pass our thanks on to your clients. We did leave a small gift along with some other presents at the venue which I hope will have reached them safely. Will be in touch with directions and so on nearer to 3 September Best Wishes". Christine Bain 11th April 2005

"Thrilled"
"I just wanted to say thank you for making our party last night such a success (2nd April 2005 Elvetham Heath Community Centre, Fleet, Surrey) the music was fantastic... Mum was thrilled with the party and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile, thank you again and all the very best". Hazel & Teri Jones and family 3rd April 2005

"Dear Mick, Many thanks for the great evening we had at the Waltham Abbey Town Hall last week (18th March 2005). The Band was terrific - please pass on our thanks to them all. "Wonderful Swing"
"Dear Mick, Just a note to thank you and your musicians for playing at Liz and Chris's wedding last Saturday (19th March 2005 Keele Hall, Staffordshire). We all thought you were absolutely fantastic and I haven't enjoyed myself so much in years. You made the evening go with a wonderful swing and it ended with a delightful flourish. We are most genuinely grateful. Yours Sincerely". John and Vicky Winchester 22nd March 2003
"Fabulous Musicianship"
"All week I have been hearing compliments about the evening on Friday (4th February 2005 The Tithe Barn, Old Ditcham Farm, Ditcham, Petersfield, Hampshire) Everybody loved the music and the fabulous musicianship, but what has really delighted me is the number of people who have said they did not expect to get up and dance because they would not normally do so at any other staff function! However they did and they are all enthusing about the fun we all had. I can't thank you enough and wished we could have gone on for at least another two hours! The caller was brilliant and set just the right tone to get everybody on their feet. Thanks to you and your colleagues again, I hope we have the opportunity to book you later this year!". Belinda Ludlam Oaklands Catholic School, Waterlooville, Hants 11th Feb 2005
"Just Right"
"Thanks for Saturday night. (5th February 2005, All Saints Arts Centre, Friars Walk, Lewes, Sussex) Everybody had a great time. You seemed to pitch things just right to get everybody up and dancing. Thanks again". Trevor Corrall 7th Feb 2005
